This is my idea for a new licence based on what I would interpret as the idea middle-ground licence that does not make something completely closed source and also prevents others from using your work to make a greater profit than you (since it is your product that you are developing) (also since I obviously imply by the Non-Commercial component that you could make a product commercially available through this licence).
Do as U Like Licence - Non-Commercial
This licence specifies that a given work is made available under the following terms and conditions.
Term 1:
Understand that you have the right to remove this licence from the work as long as no other licence is otherwise added.
Term 2:
The work may not be used commercially without explicit permission from the author. Be aware that the author is nice and is likely to grant permission to those who ask for it.
Term 3:
You may use the work as you see fit as long as such action does not interfere with the first or second term.
