• Optical Encoder - A sensor which measures linear or rotary motion by detecting the movement of markings past a fixed beam of light.
• Optical Proximity Sensor - Robot sensors which measures visible or invisible light reflected from an object to determine distance.
• Orientation - The angular position of an object with respect to the robot's reference system such as in roll, pitch, and yaw.
